Porsche Shutters Three Subsidiaries, Over 500 Jobs Affected

Porsche has announced the immediate closure of its e-bike, battery, and software subsidiaries, affecting more than 500 employees. The cost-cutting overhaul aims to streamline operations and refocus on the luxury automaker's core automotive business.

“We must refocus on our core business,” CEO and executive chair Michael Leiters said in a statement. “This is the indispensable foundation for a successful strategic realignment. This forces us to make painful cuts — including our subsidiaries.”
